INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
bART pottery forms are made of MDF (fibre board), a very nice material to work with.
MDF is naturally hydrophilic (water-absorbent). An ideal property for moulding clay. As the outer layer of the form absorbs water from the clay, it will stick less and release from the form quite easily.
To release the form from the clay, place two fingers in the two round holes and lift it, guiding the clay out of the form with the other hand. It can sometimes stick a little bit, so do this gently and check whether the clay is detached everywhere.
After using the forms, clean them with a damp cloth and let them dry completely. Usually a drying time of 2-3 hours is sufficient.
Treat the forms with respect, the quite thin edges of the forms can be damaged if dropped.
Store the forms in a dry place so that they are always ready to use.
